Unity v7.2 Released:  Supports New ALERE v5.2

April 16, 2008 -- TIW ALERE Accounting System version 5.2 users will be pleased to know that the new version of ALERE is fully supported in the US Software's latest release of the Unity Data Collection Suite.  Users of the Unity Data Collection Suite have come to expect innovative new features to be a part of every product release.  Version 7.2 is no exception to this rule.  Included in the new product are many enhancements to assist users with their inventory management.  Among these new features is the ability to print labels from the shop floor through the Unity Pocket Terminal.  With this enhancement a label size and a label printer can be assigned by user, so that each user can have their own default printer.

ALERE Accounting System users that are anxious to take advantage of new lot control features, will be glad to know that the expiration date and inspection status are now supported by Unity.  Lot tracking can also include an expiration date for items that it applies to as well as including an inspection status to gather whether or not a received item has been inspected and whether it has passed or failed.  These are just a few of the new features, to learn more about the product or to learn more about the latest enhancements click here for more information.

Find Out What's New In Unity v7.1

April 12, 2007 -- As with every new release of the Unity Data Collection Suite, there are many new and exciting features in store for our users as they open up version 7.1.  Version 7.1 is latest edition of the Unity Data Collection Suite.  Unity has found a home in many small to medium sized businesses throughout the country.  The product has been a tool that improves efficiency in data collection for organizations that serve many different industries, such as printing, textile manufacturing, agricultural equipment, electronics, medical components, and many more.  Data collection in Unity starts with the bar code.  By using bar codes data collection can be improved both in accuracy as well as speed.

Some of the new features included to Unity v7.1 include supervisor-level access for time and attendance transactions and new filer options on reports like the Item Labels and Employee Performance report.  Another exciting new feature is the support of blanket style orders through the inventory module.  The inventory module now uses not only the item number, but also the line number when shipping sales orders or receiving purchase order items.  This in turn allows for placing the same item on multiple lines of the order with separate shipment/receipt dates.  When either shipping or receiving in Unity the integrity of the orders is preserved by only shipping or receiving the specific line.  To learn more about the product or to learn more about the latest enhancements, click here for more information.
