is hosting their 6th Annual Roundup Seminar and
Expo. PMI Roundup is held at the Windsor Park
Conference Center in Mishawaka, IN (South Bend's Sister
City). The event takes place on June 16,
2005. They have invited vendors from all over the
country and local business partners to present their
best solutions. This year's roundup hosts talent from
such companies as US Software, Microsoft, Best Software,
and TIW Corporation. This is a great opportunity
to take one day for a complete technology learning

v6.2 Ships Out the Door

-- Version 6.2 of the Unity Data Collection Suite begins shipping today. SMA (Software Maintenance Agreement) shipments are on their way to Unity Data Collection Suite users today as the much anticipated v6.2 ships. Like previous versions, this powerful data collection system provides users with a mechanism to collect information from the shop floor, warehouse, and for time and attendance.
Some of the new features in Unity v6.2, include 2 new applications for the Videx Laser Lite Pro data collection device. Version 2.0 of TimeDesk, US
Software's time and billing
software system for the service industry, begins
shipping today. TimeDesk has been designed for
companies in the service industry and provides some help
desk and CRM style features along with it's service
billing options.
The biggest new feature in v2.0 is new
calendar/scheduling feature. The new schedule
screen provides a way for you to schedule and track
appointments, events, and other time and date
sensitive items for each 
employee. The schedule screen offers both a
monthly and day view. The monthly schedule can
also be printed. In addition to the new calendar
function, TimeDesk v2.0 also offers enhancements to
it's email functions. With the new e-mail
signature feature, each user can define their own
e-mail signature which is then automatically added to
each email they write. And, the email feature
now supports file attachments. You can attach
any file(s) to your e-mail and send them along with
your message.

Data Collection Suite 6.0 Now Available

Software, Inc. has released version 6.0 of the Unity
Data Collection Suite. Notable features for
version 6.0 are the enhancements to the Inventory
Module, which include a new physical inventory posting
screen with incremental postings, new support for ALERE
Purchase Order Receipts, and the ability to print ALERE
Purchase Orders with bar codes. In the time
module, a new mass transactions feature provides users
with an easy way to post employee holidays, vacations,
and more. The Shop Floor module and RTP software
now supports TIW WorkShop's LA, MU, and MX
transactions. Another new feature to v6.0 is the
Open Transactions screen. This new option in the
Unity System Module is a great way for management to
view at a glance who is clocked in and what they are
working on. Imagine being able to see all open
jobs from one screen. This Open Transactions
screen can also be used for closing transactions by
automatically creating the matching "Out"
transaction. The data in the open transactions
screen can even be filtered by transaction code.

Data Collection Suite, version 5.4, now offers users

v8.1. Version 5.4 of Unity will begin shipping

Software released the next installment of it's Unity
data collection product on November 17, 2003.
Version 5.2 of Unity contains many new reporting
features. Almost
every report in the system has been improved.
Users now have more filter and sorting capabilities on
many of the reports.
The Unity Time module has new lunch rounding which
allows lunch transactions to be rounded for both the in
and out transaction separately. Previously users
were only allowed to round the total lunch time.
This gives the product a greater flexibility in the
lunch calculation.
Real Time Polling, a software module that is included
with the Unity System module, now offers new Auto-Start
features for the Auto Create Posting and Auto Posting to
TIW screens. The Auto-Start feature allows users
to configure the system so that these two screens start
automatically when the software is started.

Software's latest product, TimeDesk becomes available today.
The new time
and billing application delivers big
features at a very small price. The price of the
software is only $995. The product is aimed toward the service
industry and links to the TIW ALERE and ACCPAC Pro
Series accounting systems.
Users can create
service orders to record work that has been performed
along with monitoring billable hours and travel time if
desired. Service orders can than be built into
sales orders in the linked accounting system, billing
clients for time used. Support for pre-paid
retainers, travel time, and tracking employee expenses
and mileage is also included.
TimeDesk is available
today. Not only does it support multi-users, but
also includes full source code. More information
