Unity Inventory Module

The Unity Inventory Module has been designed to compliment the TIW ALERE Accounting System's Sales, Purchases, and Inventory Modules.  It facilitates the collection of inventory data through bar code data collection.  Printing item labels complete with bar codes is a breeze with the Unity Inventory Module.  In addition to printing product labels, Unity Inventory users can process item transfers, receipts, issues, shipments, and post physical inventory counts.  The Unity Inventory Module posts inventory transaction data directly into the ALERE data tables.

New to Version 7.4

• New Post Inventory Transactions screen appears before user posts transactions. The user can optionally select which transactions they want processed. Or, they can select all transactions to be posted at once.
• Tag Inventory system, users can now track a tag number with all PI (Physical Inventory) transactions. The tag number also is printed on the physical inventory report. The report has also been changed so the data can be ordered by either the item number or the tag number.
• Physical Inventory Posting Screen, a wait window message has been added that says processing 1 of x transactions where "X" is the total number of transactions to be posted.  This gives the user feedback as the transactions are processed.
• ALERE Inventory Posting performance has been improved to increase the speed of the actual posting process.

Software Features

• Links to TIW ALERE Accounting to provide seamless inventory transactions for sales order shipments, purchase order receipts, inventory issues, inventory receipts, location transfers, and physical inventory counts.  Or, the Inventory module can be run stand-alone without linking to an accounting system.  Inventory Module supports both ALERE LAN and ALERE CS versions.
• Validates All Imported Data against TIW ALERE Accounting data as well as validating against it's own internal database tables. 
• ALERE PO Receipts are supported by linking to the ALERE Purchases Module.  Users can print Purchase Order Receiving Copies complete with bar codes.  With the use of bar code data collection users can use the bar coded receiving copies to automatically receive inventory by scanning the bar codes.  The PO Receipts transactions supports partial or complete PO receiving, providing a quantity entry to verify the quantity that was received.
• ALERE SO Shipments are supported with a link to the ALERE Sales Module.  Sales Order Pick Lists can be printed with bar codes.  
• Support for Blanket Style Orders.  Inventory module has the ability to accommodate sales orders (such as those made with SOC) where the item numbers on multiple lines of the order have identical item numbers.  In the shipment process it now uses the appropriate line number rather than just shipping based on the item number.
• Physical Inventory Counting is separate from other transactions providing selective posting of physical inventory counts.  This allows for posting physical inventory transactions independently from all other transactions in the inventory module.  After taking physical inventory counts you can pick and choose which of the counts you want posted to the inventory.  Inventory counts are cumulative so that multiple personnel can be counting the same inventory at once.
• Bar Coded Inventory Labels can be printed in a variety of preset standard label sizes or can be customized to your specific requirements.  Users can print one label for each item on an order which has been shipped or received.  Or they have the option to print one item for each quantity that was shipped or received.  This option can be configured by item from the item maintenance screen.  Or standard labels (not associated with an order) can be printed at any time with options such as product class and item number filters.  These labels can also optionally include a lot # or serial #. 
• Supports both standard and average weighted costing methods when linked to ALERE.
• Multi-Company Support.
• Data Collection Hardware Support.  Unity software works with Videx LaserLite Pro™ portable data collection units or can be configured to work with other hardware/software such as the Unity RTP or RTPe module.  Twelve different applications are included for the Videx LaserLite Pro™.
• Employee Status field provides the Unity user with the ability to signify whether an employee is active or inactive.  Inactive employee's are prevented from posting transactions in from RTP, Pocket Terminal, or Terminal Emulation.
• Employee Organizational Levels are user definable and can be used to segregate employees by departments, groups, divisions, supervisors, etc.  Each employee can be assigned to as many as five organizational levels.
• Inventory Preview Post Report can be used as an error report after posting transactions or as a check point prior to posting transactions.  The report can be filtered by transaction code, date range, employee, and more.
• Transaction History Report can show transactions, by employee, type, or date.
• Every transaction is tracked by employee, giving you a complete audit trail of all transactions. 
• Item Master File screen allows for viewing the item master file from the linked accounting/manufacturing system.  Or, it can be used for adding/editing items when Inventory Module is not linked to another inventory system.
• Employee List Report, lists all employees and their individual information.
• Employee Badge Report  with search options for employee look-ups prints employee badges complete with bar codes.  The multiple employee select option allows the user to pick and choose which employees they wish to print badges for.
• Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 is the powerful database and OOP (object oriented programming) language which powers Unity.
• Customizable, source code included.
• User Level Security, with login and password.
