Unity Real Time Polling Ethernet (RTPe)
The Unity Real Time Polling Ethernet Edition (RTPe) integrates with the Unity Data Collection Suite and optionally with the ComputerWise ET205 and ET215 Terminals to create a sophisticated Ethernet data collection system. It uses the industry standard TCP/IP protocol for communications. It validates the data as it is entered at the shop floor against the actual live Unity, TIW WorkShop, and/or accounting system data.
New to Version 7.2
- Auto Post To TIW Manufacturing Changed the Auto Post To TIW routine so it would set and acknowledge the new DELMARK flag which was added to the ALERE Mfg v9.1 External Posting file.
-
Auto Post To ALERE Accounting
The all new Auto
Posting to ALERE feature provides users with an automation for the posting
of Inventory Transactions into ALERE on a timed interval. The new
feature works similarly to the existing Auto Post features where users enter
a time in minutes for the interval between postings. The net result is
that posting into ALERE can happen continually throughout the work day as
transactions are being scanned into the system.
Software Features
- Links to Unity Data Collection Suite: Shop Floor, Inventory and Time Module, Populating the Preview External Post Files. Supports links to TIW WorkShop, TIW ALERE LAN, TIW ALERE CS, ACCPAC Pro Series, ACCPAC VisionPoint, AccountMate VAM/LAN, and AccountMate VAM/SQL.
- Validates Entered Data Against TIW WorkShop and Accounting System Data. Data is Validated at the time it is entered. Validation includes verification that TIW work orders have been FPO'd (A process of releasing a work order otherwise known as a Firm Planed Order) and have not been closed. Additional validation includes quantity validation and specific data validations. Quantity is validated as to only allow numeric values. And, zero quantity is not allowed on transactions where zero would not be a valid number, such as an issue or a receipt. Whereas on a physical inventory transaction, the zero may be a valid number so it is allowed on those types of transactions. The specific data validations occur for items such as employee badge numbers or item numbers. Depending on the specific setup, RTP will look in the appropriate database to validate entered data against those databases.
- Familiar Ethernet Interface
- TCP/IP Communications
- Auto-Create Post Feature: Automatically creates the TIW WorkShop external posting file at a timed interval for posting in WorkShop.
- Automatic External Posting function. At a user defined timed interval, RTPe can optionally post the external post file in TIW WorkShop.
- Default Intervals for Auto Posting feature keeps a default interval time that is used for the auto posting features. This default is established in the setup screen and is used each time the Auto Posting to TIW or Auto Create Posting screens are used.
- Auto-Start Feature, automatically starts the polling network when the software starts. You can optionally specify in the setup screen to have the program automatically start the following features when the software is started: Polling Network, Auto Create Posting, and Auto Posting to TIW.
- Offline Polling Option: This feature allows for continued data collection offline while running system maintenance items such as month end closing.
- Multi-Company Support. Supports Employees that Work in Multiple Companies.
- Data Collection Program Prompts For Required Information Only. Optional prompting for item location information, serial numbers, and lot numbers.
- Transaction Again Feature Speeds up Entry For Repetitive Transactions
- Customizable, Visual FoxPro 9.0 is the underlying foundation which the RTPe software is built upon. Visual FoxPro 8.0 is Microsoft's latest offering of the popular database development system. The RTPe software includes complete source code making the product very customizable.
- ODBC Compliant
- Time Display, terminals can optionally display the current time.
- Terminals Can Be Connected/Disconnected Independently.
